This Single Source Award is being made in accordance with Department of Interior Policy 505 DM 2.14 B(1), which allows for the continuation of an activity we are funding. One of the primary strategic goals of the Wildlife Without Borders Latin America and Caribbean (WWB-LAC) program is to support training and capacity building initiatives for future generations of conservation leaders in the region. As such, the WWB-LAC program has supported the Graduate Program in Wildlife Management at the Universidad Nacional de CĂÂłrdoba since 1992 by providing funding for student scholarships, visiting professors, and practical field experiences that enhance coursework. The WWB-LAC funds will be managed through a 32-month cooperative agreement that will allow WWB-LAC staff to work closely with the Graduate Program director and professors to include a highly inter-disciplinary, ecosystem-based approach to training conservation leaders. The long partnership between Universidad Nacional de CĂÂłrdoba and the WWB-LAC has been highly successful, with approximately 76 alumni working in the region to date.
