University of California, Davis Species Project
Funding is available through the U.S. Fish and WIldlife Service (USFWS) to develop a process for standardization of species lists and documented occurrences of species occurring on National Wildlife Refuges in the Pacific Southwest Region. Specifically, University of California, Davis will develop a process for standardizatoin of species lists and documented occurrences into standards compliant formats, validate the taxonomy and prepare datasets for future contribution species data portals. The USFWS intends to award UC Davis a single source agreement because of the unique qualifications of the staff with the technical expertise to conduct this work. The anticipated project start date will be August 2012 with an expected completion date of September 2016.
