The Determining Effects of Soil Moisture on Dune Migration and Dust Production on Different Geomorphic Surfaces in White Sands National Monument, New Mexico

 

This is a Notice of Intent (NOI) to award a non-competitive Task Agreement under the Gulf Coast, Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit (CESU) Master Cooperative Agreement (P12AC51051) in accordance with Department of Interior, 505 Departmental Manual 2.12C. The purpose of this project is to define the sediment transport response of the playa, dune and interdune areas within White Sands National Monument and Cuatrociénegas to changes in ground moisture driven by changes in climate variables and the near-surface water-table hydrology.
