Swan Creek River and Floodplain Restoration in the Maumee AOC
This proposed project will coordinate with the design and restoration activities funded by a grant to TMACOG to restore eight or more acres of floodplain along Upper Swan Creek in the Maumee Area of Concern. A conservation easement will be acquired, and this project will support subsequent restoration. Riparian habitat currently in agricultural use will be restored to wetland and involve re-vegetation of native wetland and prairie species, the creation of a vernal pool, stream bank stabilization, and removal of exotic species.
