Supporting the National School of Public Health (SPH) to Strengthen Human Resources for Health (HRH) in HIV Care and Treatment and Epidemiology in Angola under the President's Emergency Plan for Aids Relief (PEPFAR)
The purpose of this Cooperative Agreement (CoAg) is to strengthen Human Resources for Heatlh (HRH) in HIV care and treatment and epidemiology by providing financial and technical assistance and support to the Government of the Republic of Angola, the School of Public Health (SPH). The SPH is the coordinating body responsible for providing logistical, administrative, and educational support for post graduate education for health care professionals in public health in Angola. The SPH will coordinate training activities and workshops with other U.S. Government (USG) implementing partners to build the capacity of health care professionals to improve the care and treatment of HIV/AIDS, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), related opportunistic and co-infections including tuberculosis (TB) and initiate programs to manage and provide antiretroviral therapy (ART). SPH will strengthen health care professionals capacity to collect and use surveillance data and manage national HIV/AIDS programs by supporting workshops and training.
