State of knowledge and synthesis of the natural, cultural, and economic conservation resources of the Lower Alabama River Area
This is a Notice of Intent (NOI) to award a non-competitive Task Agreement under the Gulf Coast, Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit (CESU) Master Cooperative Agreement (P12AC51051) in accordance with Department of Interior, 505 Departmental Manual 2.12C. The purpose of this project is to continue a cooperative effort between the National Park Service, the University of South Alabama and the University of Alabama through the Gulf Coast Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit (GC-CESU) that serves to facilitate cooperative science and scholarship between the NPS and Alabama universities. Project Principal Investigators will convene multiple contributing authors to develop and synthesize the state of knowledge of an array of natural, cultural and economic conservation resources of the lower Alabama River area that can serve to enhance the understanding and stewardship of these Natural and Historic Landmarks, and be incorporated into conservation planning by Alabama and its partners.
