Smoke Management Program

 

This agreement is made and entered into by the Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management, Nevada State Office (BLM), and the State of Nevada, Division of Environmental Protection, Bureau of Air Quality Planning (NDEP), for the purpose of maintaining the current Smoke Management Program (SMP) in Nevada. This agreement specifies the funding in and administrative responsibilities for the Smoke Coordinator position as well as detailing the appropriate procedures to follow when prescribed or wildland fires, used for resource benefits, take place on specific lands in Nevada.
