Science Support to the Desert Landscape Conservation Cooperative Science Working Group

 

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service), Southwest Region Science Applications intends to award an Agreement to the Desert Southwest Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit (CESU) hosted by the university of Arizona. The Service is a Federal Agency Partner of the CESU under agreement F11 AC00404. Specifically, Science Applications is working with the DSW CESU because of the geographic and technical expertise that this CESU and the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona and scientific work to be undertaken involves close oversight by the Coordinator. In addition, specific faculty and students at the School of Natural Resources and the Environment at the University of Arizona bring a unique combination of social and natural science skills that are crucial for the success of the science to be undertaken, including expertise in the San Pedro watershed.
