The purpose of this RFI is to solicit feedback from industry, academia, research laboratories, government agencies, and other stakeholders on what is being called the PV Lifetime Project. EERE seeks to expand the data set available to the public, with measurements taken over shorter intervals and using repeatable test methods. The data is expected to enable an increase in the accuracy and precision of degradation profiles calculated for representative PV modules and systems. The objectives of the PV Lifetime Project are: 1. Determine and communicate module differentiation with respect to service lifetime. 2. Determine and communicate degradation profiles; and their uncertainty. EERE is specifically interested in information on results that better inform calculations of the return on investment of existing and future PV installations. This is solely a request for information and not a Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA). EERE is not accepting applications. Responses to this RFI must be submitted electronically to PVReliability@EE.Doe.Gov no later than 5:00pm (ET) on November 19, 2015. Responses must be provided as attachments to an email.
