OJJDP FY 2013 Missing and Exploited Children Program Support
Through this initiative, OJJDP seeks to identify an organization to serve the Missing and Exploited Children (MEC) Program through a variety of services and program support including but not limited to providing: meeting and conference support; information management; and publications to local, state, and tribal law enforcement, nonprofit organizations, and other juvenile justice practitioners. The MEC Program is OJJDPÂ’s primary vehicle for building an infrastructure to support the national effort to prevent the abduction and exploitation of children. This program is authorized by the Department of Justice Appropriations Act, 2013.

Who is eligible to apply/benefit from this assistance?
Applicant Eligibility
Eligible applicants are limited to nonprofit and for-profit organizations (including tribal nonprofit and for-profit organizations) and institutions of higher education (including tribal institutions of higher education). For-profit organizations must agree to forgo any profit or management fee. OJJDP welcomes joint applications from two or more eligible applicants; however, one applicant must be clearly indicated as the primary applicant (for correspondence, award, and management purposes) and the others indicated as co-applicants. OJJDP may elect to make awards for applications submitted under this solicitation in future fiscal years, dependent on the merit of the applications and on the availability of appropriations.
