Moomomi Predator-proof Fence
This agreement is being implemented in order to fence and protect 185 acres of coastal strand habitat on the northern coast of Molokai within the Moomomi Preserve. A 6-7 foot fence will be constructed to prevent intrusion of Axis deer, feral/stray cats and dogs into the preserve. Subsequent to fence construction, all axis deer, feral/stray cats and dogs within the fenced area will be removed. This project will benefit the public by providing technical and financial assistance to partners to protect and restore habitats in priority coastal areas for fish and wildlife for the continuing benefit of the American people.
