Funding of this award is in direct support of a cooperative agreement between the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Sacramento national Wildlife Refuge Complex (SNWRC) and Ducks Unlimited, Inc.(DU) to conduct a topographic survey, prepare a preliminary engineering design, prepare a joint NEPA/CEQUA document , and identify necessary permits needed to support the Llano Seco Ranch Water Conveyance Project (Project). The Project will replace approximately 1,730 linear feet ft of siphon, upgrade 51,100 linear feet of conveyance canal, and replace multiple water control structures to provide reliable water to 4,500 acres of wetlands and 2,700 acres of agricultural land on Llano Seco Ranch (LSR), SNWRCĂ¢Â¿Â¿s Llano Seco Unit, and California Department of Fish and WildlifeĂ¢Â¿Â¿s (CDFW) Llano Seco Unit. DU will be responsible for completing a topographic survey, preparing a preliminary engineering design, and preparing a joint NEPA/CEQA Document in coordination with SNWRC and other stake holders. This award is made under the authority of: Fish and Wildlife Act of 1956, as amended 16 U.S.C. 742a-742j; Fish and Wildlife Coordination Act (16 U.S.C. 661); and National Wildlife Refuge Improvement Act of 1997.
