The primary goal is for state agencies to establish and run state-run hate crime reporting hotlines to facilitate significantly increased reporting of hate crimes data, and to ensure that victims are connected to available support services and informed about their reporting options to law enforcement. The assistance is designed to support two key elements of the Jabara-Heyer No Hate Act. Specifically, the assistance will provide grants to expand access to state-run hotlines for hate crimes victims and will provide grants to state and local law enforcement agencies to improve hate crimes data collection. Performance Reports: To assist in fulfilling the Departments responsibilities under the Government Performance and Results Act of 1993 (GPRA), Public Law 103-62, and the GPRA Modernization Act of 2010, Public Law 111–352, recipients must provide data that measures the results of their work.
