As a means of providing informational resources and technical assistance to Indian tribes (including Alaska Native regional corporations and village corporations) on a regional basis, the U.S. Department of Energyâ₏™s (DOE) Office of Indian Energy Policy and Programs (Office of Indian Energy) is considering providing financial and technical assistance to Inter-tribal Organizations. The (DOE) Office of Indian Energy is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) to gain input from Inter-tribal Organizations, Indian tribes (including Alaska Native regional corporations and village corporations) and other interested stakeholders on its efforts to develop an Inter-tribal Technical Assistance Energy Provider Network. The information collected may be used for internal Office of Indian Energy planning and decision-making purposes in its continuing efforts to spur energy development in Indian Country, provide information to permit Tribal leaders to make informed decisions regarding their energy resources, and to build human capacity such that Indian energy projects can be sustained. Information on where to submit questions regarding the content of the RFI and where to submit responses can be found in the full RFI document posted on the EERE Exchange website at https://eere-exchange.energy.gov. This is solely a request for information and NOT a Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) or Notice of Technical Assistance (NOTA). The Office of Indian Energy is NOT accepting applications or requests for technical assistance.
