Innovative Research in Cancer Nanotechnology (IRCN) (U01)
This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) invites applications for the development of innovative research projects in cancer nanotechnology. This initiative, to be known as Innovative Research in Cancer Nanotechnology (IRCN), is an integral component of a broader program - the NCI Alliance for Nanotechnology in Cancer (The Alliance) (http://nano.cancer.gov). IRCN awards are designed to enable multi-disciplinary research and transformative discoveries in cancer biology and/or oncology through the use of nanotechnology. Proposed projects should address major barriers in cancer biology and/or oncology using nanotechnology and should emphasize fundamental understanding of nanomaterial interactions with biological systems and/or mechanisms of their in vivo delivery. NCI will hold a pre-application informational webinar for this FOA. Date, time, and other details will be posted at http://nano.cancer.gov/phase3info.
