Influence of land-use practices on site occupancy of monarchs, Dakota skippers and other prairie dependent butterflies

Tasks to be performed under this award: We intend to initiate a study on prairie restoration and potential effects on butterfly species such as the monarch, Dakota skipper, and regal fritillary. We will examine detection probability, occurrence, and tie in our restoration practices. Information from this effort will inform restoration strategies that will preserve and help in the recovery process of prairie butterflies.
