Golden Eagle movements, habitat, and nest success in USFWS Region 6
The tasks to be performed under this agreement are as follows: will work with U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service (FWS) to develop an aerial survey design for nesting Golden Eagles; conduct nest surveys (aerial, with on-the-ground follow-up) following the survey design, but also visit a pre-determined proportion of known/historic nest sites that do not fall along transect lines; and select a subset of Golden Eagles of various age-classes to study movement and mortality factors through the use of GPS/satellite-enabled Platform Terminal Transmitters (PTT).
