Friends Grant Program

Friends organizations perform important work on 230 national wildlife refuges, ranging from visitor services, inventory and monitoring, communications and partnership programs. The Fish and Wildlife Service and the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation recognize the value of local citizens who volunteer hundreds of thousands of hours each year to complete hands-on conservation work and quality recreational opportunities for the visiting public. The Service and the NFWF have a long-standing relationship that helps foster meaningful community partnership programs through grants and other support programs.
