Establishing new populations of Mimulus gemmiparus
The budding monkeyflower, or Rocky Mountain monkeyflower (Mimulus gemmiparus) is a rare species endemic to Colorado. The plants grows in small distinct patches. The species is at risk of extinction and that risk is related to probability of any one population going extinct. The Service is conducting an assessment of the species status in response to a court order under the Endangered Species Act (ESA).
