The Mid-Pacific Region of the Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) intends to issue a grant agreement to The Klamath Tribes for the following program – Endangered Species Program Support – Upper Klamath Lake (UKL), under the authority of Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) 15.517, Fish and Wildlife Coordination Act of 1934, Public Law 85-624, 16 U.S.C. 661 et seq., as amended and the authority to the Bureau of Reclamation at 255 DM 1.1B. Estimated total amount of agreement is $2,533,946.00 with Reclamation providing $510,140.00 in Fiscal Year 2014. The purpose of this requirement is to allow for continued monitoring of water quality conditions in Upper Klamath Lake and tributary nutrient loading. Long-term monitoring of water quality allows continued evaluation of lake management operations, effects of climatic variables, and evaluation of restoration activities in the watershed. A Determination by the Government not to compete this proposed financial assistance based upon Departmental Manual 505 DM 2, paragraph 2.14(B)(2) & (4) is solely within the discretion of the Government.
