Effect of Therapeutic Class on Generic Drug Substitutions (U01)
The purpose of this study is to rank order generic drugs based on therapeutic class with low generic substitution/acceptance rate and analyze factors affecting the generic substitution in each therapeutic class. The outcome of this study will help identify research needs and align FDAÂ’s regulatory science efforts to monitor and ensure successful generic substitution and thereby assure the public about generic drug safety and efficacy.
