Domestic Grants are negotiated on the basis of project objectives to be achieved, with emphasis on restoration, protection, and enhancement of fish and wildlife habitat, and other resources on public and private land, the reduction of risk from natural disaster where public safety is threatened, or a combination thereof or both that benefit these resources within the watershed; and funding is available. Projects that support the Great Basin Restoration Initiative through the implementation of the Eastern Nevada Landscape Restoration Project and ensure resilient and healthy ecosystems in the Great Basin by restoring native plant communities and natural mosaic on the landscape that function within the parameters of natural fire regimes in White Pine and Lincoln counties in the state of Nevada. Activities may include scientific analyses, hazardous fuels and mechanical treatments and related work. As specified in the award document. Cash reports are not applicable. Upon submission of request for reimbursement and/or advance liquidation, expenditures shall be itemized in accordance with the financial plan incorporated in the award document. The recipient and the Forest Service shall conduct monitoring activities to ensure accomplishment of stated objectives. In accordance with the provisions of OMB Circular No. A-133 (Revised, June 27, 2003), "Audits of States, Local Governments, and Non-Profit Organizations," nonfederal entities that expend financial assistance of $500,000 or more in Federal awards will have a single or a program-specific audit conducted for that year. Nonfederal entities that expend less than $500,000 a year in Federal awards are exempt from Federal audit requirements for that year, except as noted in Circular No. A-133.
