This is a Notice of Intent (NOI) to award a non-competitive Task Agreement under the Gulf Coast, Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit (CESU) Master Cooperative Agreement (P12AC51051) in accordance with Department of Interior, 505 Departmental Manual 2.12C. The purpose of this project is to contribute to the development of Natural Resource Condition Assessments (NRCAs) for the Inter-Mountain Region of the National Park Service. As such, the University of West Florida will compile, synthesize, and help translate existing scientific data from diverse sources to provide Alibates Flint Quarry NM (ALFL), Amistad NRA (AMIS), Chickasaw NRA (CHIC), Lake Meredith NRA (LAMR), and Lyndon B. Johnson NHP (LYJO) a perspective on current condition status for a subset of important park natural resources. The objective is to place existing scientific data and knowledge into a context and format(s) that ensure its usefulness for park planning, decision making, and accountability reporting purposes. The UWF Information Specialist/Writer/Editor will be responsible for specific chapters (agreed upon by the NPSÂ’s Southern Plains Network Coordinator and Information Specialist/Writer/Editor) of NRCAs prepared under the supervision of the Southern Plains Program Manager. Please see attached Full Announcement for more information.
