Fiscal Year 2022 In FY 2022, $70M was awarded to 122 school districts in 34 states. Floyd D. Spence National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2001, Public Law 106-398, 20 U.S.C. 7703a-7703b Only LEAs eligible for Federal Impact Aid pursuant to Section 7703 of Title 20, U.S. Code may be eligible for one or more of the three independent DoD Impact Aid Programs. While no applications are required for DoD Impact Aid Supplemental and Large Scale Rebasing, banking information is required for award distribution. Preapplication coordination is required. Congressional law dictates that the DoD acquires eligibility data from the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Impact Aid Programs. Environmental impact information is not required for this program. 2 CFR 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards applies to this program. For DoD Impact Aid for Children with Severe Disabilities- According to Section 222.10 of 34, Code of Federal Regulations: An LEA must retain the records described in Section 222.9 until the later of-- (a) Three years after the last payment for a FY; or (b) If the records have been questioned on Federal audit or review, until the question is finally resolved and any necessary adjustments to payments have been made. Statutory Formula: Title Impact Aid for Children with Severe Disabilities Chapter 20 USC Part § 7703a This section was enacted as part of the Floyd D. Spence National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2001, and not as part of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 which comprises this chapter.

Fiscal Year 2023 Financial assistance is provided to support school districts that educate military dependent children. Supplemental; funding may be used without restriction. Children with Severe Disabilities funding must be used to support the free appropriate public education to children with disabilities.
