Cross-Border Law Enforcement Cooperation Against Wildlife Trafficking

This award will allow for developing materials and conducting training courses that would enhance the ability of government law enforcement officials to combat wildlife trafficking in Latin America and Asia. Such training will include detection, enforcement, and investigation of wildlife crimes. Additional training will assist in strengthening legislative frameworks, prosecutorial assistance, and legal reform to combat wildlife crimes. These activities should also connect with similar cooperative law enforcement efforts underway in other regions to combat the global trade in illegal wildlife products.
