This solicitation is being announced as an open competition targeted at multijurisdictional task forces composed of federal, state, and local partnerships to address gang activity. CAGI provides funds directly to the lead law enforcement agency on a multijurisdictional task force to address gang activity. Funds awarded through CAGI shall be used to support regional anti-gang task forces focusing on enforcement, prevention/education, and intervention of gang activity. Funding is limited and this solicitation is expected to be very competitive. Strong applications should demonstrate a multijurisdictional reach and participation in interdisciplinary team structures (i.e., task forces). The goal for this program is to advance public safety by increasing efforts to address gang activities. The COPS Office reserves the right to limit awards to one per state at the time of award announcement.

Only the lead law enforcement agency on the multijurisdictional task force is eligible to apply for funding. The deadline for submitting applications in response to this grant announcement is 7:59 PM EDT on Friday, June 19, 2015. Applications submitted after this deadline will not be considered for funding.
