Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit, Rocky Mountain CESU
The US Geological Survey, Northern Rocky Mountain Science Center (NOROCK) is offering a funding opportunity to conduct research on vegetation distribution and phenology in areas served by NOROCK, the Great Northern Landscape Conservation Cooperative (GNLCC) and the North Central Climate Science Center (NC CSC) including the Wyoming Landscape Conservation Initiative (WLCI) study area. This research is to analyze spatial and temporal vegetation data (including species composition and structure; phenology from near-surface and remote sensing platforms). Also to maintain and conduct quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) on our databases; conduct laboratory analyses of soil samples as needed (including physical, chemical and biological); and field check model results as necessary.
