Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit, Great Rivers CESU
The U.S. Geological Survey�s Core Science Analytics, Synthesis and Libraries (CSAS&L) Program is offering a funding opportunity to a Partner within the Great Rivers Cooperative Ecosystems Studies Unit that has the ability to support joint activities focused on increasing the availability of and access to high quality, dense, taxonomically validated capture-mark-release and observation-based species occurrence data for the migratory monarch butterfly (Danaus plexippus) recorded in Canada, Mexico, or the US and US Territories for inclusion in the USGS Biodiversity Information Serving Our Nation (BISON - http://bison.usgs.ornl.gov/) application, documentation in the USGS BISON Integrated Publishing Toolkit (IPT - http://bison.ornl.gov/ipt/), and for harvesting by the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF) via the USGS BISON IPT installation.
