Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit, Great Lakes Northern Forest CESU
The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Great Lakes Science Center is offering a funding opportunity to a CESU partner for a new research project that seeks to develop fisheries food web indicators of climate change in the Great Lakes. In support of this project, we seek a CESU partnership that will focus on the development of new field-based data to support broad-scale spatial and seasonal comparisons of fish distribution, diets, and biochemical dietary markers. Understanding the mechanisms that shape food webs that support important fisheries will better enable resource managers in the Great Lakes to adaptively respond to uncertainties of climate change effects on fisheries production.
