Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit, Great Lakes Northern Forest CESU

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Great Lakes Science Center is offering a funding opportunity for research to develop new strategies for assessing inland fisheries at the global scale, and predicting how inland fisheries will respond to regional climate change. In support of this project, the CESU partner will focus on the contribution of freshwater lakes to global inland fisheries production. Understanding the contribution of lakes will enable managers to better prepare for future threats to fisheries production in lakes, including climate change.
