Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit, Desert Southwest CESU
The USGS Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS) Center, is offering a funding opportunity to a CESU partner for research in the framework of two major projects using remote sensing to address environmental challenges in Africa. (1) The project "Land Use Dynamics and Adapting to Climate Change in West Africa" documents and analyzes changes in land use and land cover in 16 West African countries based on a combination of remote sensing data at a range of spatial and temporal resolutions spanning over 40 years and field observations. (2) The project ���Mapping and Monitoring Land Resources, Land Uses, and Development Impacts in Ghana��� in Support of the USAID/Ghana���s Economic Growth Program.
