Collaborative Activities to Promote Metabolomics Research (Admin Supp)
This Administrative Supplement funding opportunity is part of the Common Fund Metabolomics Program created to increase and improve the nations ability to undertake metabolomics analyses in translational and clinical research. Metabolomics has great potential to advance our understanding of human diseases, but requires specialized expertise in metabolomics study design, technology, and data analysis and interpretation. This FOA supports supplemental funds to current NIH-funded research projects for new interactive collaborations between basic or clinical researchers and metabolomics experts to add a metabolomics approach to the existing Research Strategy for the project. In addition to enhancing the parent grant by adding metabolomics analyses, collaborative projects must include activities to increase the expertise of the biomedical research group in key aspects of metabolomics study design, analysis, and data interpretation.
