BLM OR/WA Umpqua Basin Restoration

This agreement will allow the BLM and the Partnership for the Umpqua Rivers to collaborate on projects that will improve water quality and fish habitat in the Umpqua basin. Projects may include, but not be limited to, the identification, planning, and implementation of watershed restoration projects such as culvert and bridge replacements, instream habitat enhancement, road sediment abatement, riparian planting, and the control of invasive species. Projects currently identified for implementation include moving logs and boulders during emergency road clearing operations or weather events so that the logs and boulders could be used at a later date for instream restoration projects.
