BLM-NM Northern New Mexico Youth Corps - Partners for Public Lands
The BLM's Taos Field Office manages public lands located in Santa Fe, Rio Arriba and Taos Counties, in north-central New Mexico. Several recreation areas have been designated and developed for public uses such as camping, hiking, boating and fishing, including the Rio Grande Gorge Recreation Area (most of which is in the Rio Grande del Norte National Monument) Santa Cruz Lake, Diablo Canyon, Cieneguilla, Palacios Arroyos and La Puebla. Most of the project work would take place in these areas. BLM is seeking partnerships to help maintain and develop new opportunities for recreation use in each of these areas as well as to implement projects that would restore the natural setting where needed.
