Under this program, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Surprise Field Office (SFO) and Eagle Lake Field Office (ELFO) will work cooperatively with a non-profit organization to protect, restore, and monitor wilderness areas and Wilderness Study Areas (WSA) in northwestern Nevada. All activities will be designed and implemented in partnership with the BLM, with resource data and monitoring information being shared. Wilderness areas and WSAs needing specific attention with on-the-ground activities will be identified, and projects will be planned and carried out. Work would take place on BLM-managed WSAs, wildernesses areas within the SFO and ELFO boundaries, including but not limited to: Wall Canyon WSA, Massacre Rim WSA, Sheldon Contiguous WSA, Buffalo Hills WSA, Dry Valley Rim WSA, Twin Peaks WSA, Poodle Mountains WSA, Five Springs WSA, High Rock Canyon Wilderness, Little High Rock Canyon Wilderness, and East Fork High Rock Canyon Wilderness.
