A LONG-TERM SEAGRASS MONITORING PROGRAM FOR UPPER LAGUNA MADRE, PADRE ISLAND NATIONAL SEASHORE
This is a Notice of Intent (NOI) to award a non-competitive Task Agreement under the Gulf Coast, Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit (CESU) Master Cooperative Agreement (P12AC51051) in accordance with Department of Interior, 505 Departmental Manual 2.12C. The purpose of this project is to (1) implement long-term monitoring to detect environmental changes with a focus on the ecological integrity of seagrass habitats, (2) provide insight to the ecological consequences of these changes, and (3) help decision makers (e.g. various state and federal agencies) determine if the observed change necessitates a revision of regulatory or management policy or practices.
